Geometry Global, a division of Ogilvy SA is looking for amazing people who are amazing ideas people who make amazing work. 

Our close-knit studio family is searching for a midweight art director/designer to work across some of SA’s best and biggest clients to produce truly TTL work, including activation, events, traditional ATL, digital, promo and the odd bake-sale.

If you're an award-winning, creatively-tuned mid-weight to senior art director who is inherently able to interpret how the potential market will react to an advertising proposal, and compose written material to advertise products and services, then you might be who we're looking for. 

In order to deliver exceptional quality, award-winning work, the following tasks and responsibilities need to be fulfilled:

  • Work with other disciplines (strategists, developers, media, accounts, etc.) to ensure cohesive team integration, and alignment with broader business objectives
  • Work with art copywriters/strategists/content managers to interpret briefs and deliver fresh ideas
  • Lead brainstorms and conceptualisation
  • Lead the craft and art direction of an idea across multiple channels
  • Mock up creative ideas and define the overall aesthetic of campaigns
  • Attend client briefings, compile presentations and present to clients
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Brief and manage photographers
  • Video creation/editing ability
  • Participate in pitches for new business
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested

Requirements
Key requirements in terms of education and experience for this position include:

  • A relevant qualification in art direction/design, preferably from an advertising school
  • At least three years' experience working on BTL, TTL and ATL campaigns in an agency environment
  • An indication of previously won awards, such as a Loeries, is preferable and advantageous
  • An up-to-date and blindingly genius portfolio is a must
  • The ability to work under extreme pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and marketing skills and a proven ability to work well in teams
  • An observant and inquisitive approach to people and their environment
  • Insight into human behaviour and motivational needs
  • Creativity and originality is an absolute must-have trait, and
  • A sense of colour and form that is second to none
