Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg appoint new co-Executive Creative Director – Neo Mashigo

Ogilvy & Mather South Africa is delighted to announce the appointment of Neo Mashigo as the co-Executive Creative Director for Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg.

Mashigo will be re-joining the O&M family from Draftfcb were he looked after Vodacom, Old Mutual, Wimpy, Lotto, SARS and Tiger Brands.  He started his career at Network BBDO, he then moved to O&M where he was Creative Group Head after which he worked at the SABC as a scriptwriter.

In 2012 Mashigo won the New Broom Award at Financial Mail Adfocus for his efforts in leading the movement to transform SA vernacular radio advertising and for his achievements in attracting excellent talent into the industry.  He sits on the Creative Circle Executive and is also a member of the Loerie Committee.

Some of Mashigo’s creative highlights include working on campaigns for Vodacom including, Player 23 and the We’ve Been Having It campaigns as well as the voice behind the Bafana-Bafana campaign that won best campaign at the 2010 global Vodafone advertising awards.  “Neo’s accolades speak for themselves and I am excited to join forces with him as co-executive creative director at O&M JHB.  His creative energy will undoubtedly contribute towards the ongoing success of our client’s brands as well as inspiring future talent into the industry,” says O&M JHB, Executive Creative Director, Fran Luckin.
