Why Ogilvy Africa?
Established in 1994, Ogilvy Africa is a partnership between Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and Scangroup Limited, the largest independent marketing services company in Sub-Saharan Africa. Ogilvy Africa is the biggest agency network in Africa with offices in 26 countries and almost 1000 multi-disciplinary staff providing a full array of advertising, media, strategy, PR and brand activation services to clients across the 38 countries of the Sub-Saharan region. Our agencies in each country service the needs of their local clients and also collaborate with our 2 regional hubs in Nairobi and Johannesburg to deliver on the requirements of our multi-market pan-African Clients.Our Approach
Because good ideas can come from anywhere, “Cloud Sourcing” is a ethos we apply to our day to day work. Client briefs received by any agency or hub office are often circulated across our network for input, feedback and ideas. In this way we leverage the full measure of the knowledge, experience and expertise that reside in our network. We also encourage and institute extensive sharing of best practice – and movement of our people - across the Ogilvy Africa network. This type of “Operational Flex” ensure that the best systems and processes are put in place, and that learnings and experience is passed from one team/market to another in order to provide the best solutions and outcomes for our clients. We contend these ways of working help us deliver on a core Ogilvy promise of behaving as “One Agency Indivisible” and are also a key factor in our agencies success in their respective countries.Knowledge Base & Partnerships
For almost 2 decades, the depth and quality of our knowledge base across the network has been enriched by our enduring partnerships with local clients in each country, and via our work across Africa with our multinational clients who include SAB Miller, British American Tobacco, BP, Unilever, Nestlé, The Coca-Cola Company and Airtel. In much the same way, we also enjoy partnerships with key organisations within the WPP group that bring specialist expertise to the table, and with whom we collaborate to provide innovate and comprehensive communications solutions for our clients.
