Collecting South Africa’s first Gold in Branded Entertainment for best use or integration of experiential events and first Silver in Mobile as well as bronze awards in Digital Direct Response and Public Relations for Be The Coach, the agency has certainly hit a home run with the campaign which was in the running for a Grand Prix and is fast becoming the most awarded campaign in advertising.

“Being at Cannes you realise just how good and how high the quality of the work out there is. For us, the high point is not just winning, but winning for three of our biggest clients,” comments Chris Gotz, Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy Cape Town. “An integrated campaign like Be the Coach requires a real partnership, between the client and the agency and would not have been possible without the vision, commitment and contribution of SAB. The Lion belongs to both Ogilvy and the client,” adds Gavin Levinsohn, Managing Director at Ogilvy Cape Town.

Contributing a total of seven Lions to the global network’s 83, Ogilvy & Mather as a group had its best year ever at the ceremony and was presented with the prestigious Network of the Year award. Together their accolades included one Grand Prix, 12 Gold, 20 Silver and 50 Bronze Lions. The network has also achieved a record 305 finalists during the festival.
